No Bone's About It!!

No bones about it, this is a cute Halloween Card!  I have used mostly current Stampin Up! products but I do have one retired item, it came from Sale-a-bration 2015 Catalog, it's the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, I sponged it with Pumpkin Pie to create my background.   The new Holiday Catalog, has Designer Series Paper called Happy Haunting, it's really cute and would work great with this card , you can find the black doilies on the same page.  Hope you like the card. Enjoy!

Take a look another Single Layer Card.

Up early this morning and  with coffee in hand to the craft room I went.  I wanted to create another single layer card, and here are my results.
I got the spots by using a few drops of alcohol, letting it sit for a couple of seconds and then laying a paper towel and blotting the rest, let is dry and the spots really pop!  Enjoy!

Julie

How Pretty is a Single Layer Card!

Single Layer cards are great but sometimes I like to see more color on them, that's when I get out my sponges and  post-it notes.   Below, are a couple of cards I did using the sponging and masking technique.  If you have any questions drop me an e-mail I'll get back to you and visit my Pinterest at www.pinterest.com/creativelyjulie.   Enjoy!

NEW!! Archival Stampin' Pads!!

WhooHoo!! We've got Archival Stampin' Pads!  For you who are saying "What is a Archival Stampin' Pad?"  It's a Permanent ink pad, you can use it on any project but always use it when you are using watercolor paper, Stampin  Markers or  Aqua Pens.  This ink will not run or bleed out on your card stock and gives a crisp image when stamped.  Give it a try, it's offered in Basic Black and Basic Gray and refills available.  The video below was produced by Patsy Waggoner www.stampstodiefor.com , check out her blog, you'll love it.
Blessings,
Julie

What a class!!  My ladies and Ray had a great time making the cards the only problem is I forgot to take more picture's while my ladies and Ray where creating, really sorry I'll do better.
All set and ready to go. I made two broads at the end of the tables, they are step by step instructions in large print, easy to read an follow.

I gave one of my ladies a gift for all her help in the past, she really has the hang of it and is a big help when I'm with someone else Thanks "Z"
Have a great week and remember life's a gift enjoy it.

Cards to Share!

Thought you would like to see a few more of my cards.  Enjoy!!
This years Birthday Card for my Hubby, quick to make and he loved it.  I used the "You've Got This" stamp set the crosshatched background and stamped off one time and topped it with the elk from" The Wilderness Awaits" stamp set and the happy birthday from "Sassy Salutations" stamp set.

I used Night of Navy and Crushed Curry card stock and ink. The card was made using " Butterfly Basics" stamp set, one of my favorite set's.  You can use it with so many techniques.

Triple Layer Technique, easy and quick.

I put dotted vellum paper over the stamped images to give this card a frosty look.

Three Generation Stamping, this card was made using just one ink color " Perfect Plum".

Awesome Cards for Senior Class!

I have been working on my Aug. 4th class with my wonderful seniors, I really look forward to this class.  We will be working with the Build a Birthday and Garden in Bloom Stamp Sets.
Really like this Build a Birthday card lots of stamping but easy to create, I think it will be a hit.  I used the new In Colors, they are so rich and as always I added candles on the inside art card and to the envelope.

And the Garden in Bloom card shows a different way to mount the art card to the mat, more of a free form style.  Used Wisteria Wonder , Blushing Bride,  Pear Pizzazz and Memento Tuxedo Black the verse is stamped in  Wisteria Wonder. Stamped a flower   on the inside art card and on the front of the envelope.

Hope you are having a great day and make sure to take some time to create something.
  Blessings,
Julie

A Card to Share

I needed an Anniversary card for a friend this weekend, and went into my stash of Stampin Up! stamps and found that I didn't  have anything for a Anniversary card, so I had to go back to some of my old stamps and found one that would work.    I designed my card with Whisper White and Perfect Plum card stock and Perfect Plum ink.   My card base was Whisper White cut to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" folded in half and used on the horizon side.    I also cut the following: Perfect Plum  5-1/4" x 4" -  3" x 1" and 3-3/4" x 2-1/4"  Whisper White - 5" x 3-3/4" - 2-1/2" x 3/4" and 3-1/2" x 2". Also used Whisper White Ribbon, Boho Chic Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set.  I put one rhinestone on each flower and on the knot of the ribbon  I used an A-2 envelope and stamped the flowers on one side.   Enjoy and God Bless.

Talbot Co. Senior Center Stampin Jewels

What a great time we had on Tuesday, the ladies and Ray where ready to stamp!  We have been working on creating  backgrounds, last month  we did sponging and masking to create a soft background and this month we did 3 generation stamping and direct to paper stamping.

In July we are going to make 3-D cards, we choose the Easel Card and the Screen Card, I will show you those later in the month.

That's Ray, my only guy and he is so creative he is a joy to have in a class.  Ray really loves to work outside the box and he brings so much to each class, the ladies love his creative ideas.

I like to display the card stock colors and stamp sets we will be using for the class. Extra supplies are always helpful, incase of mistakes but mostly for making more card.  I   also make them a tutorial to follow so if they get ahead of the others they will know what to do.

This is the classroom before we start the class and believe me when the class is over there is not a clean spot to be found, but what a GREAT time we had.  There is no greater feeling than being able to say " I made that!"

Happy trails to you until we meet again.  God bless!
Blessings,
Julie

Great Class and lots of fun.

What a class! I always check with the Senior Center on Monday to see how many have signed up,  I was told the class was full, that I had six names listed, that was great!  I always get one or two extra on Tuesday morning.  I always take extra supplies just in case.  My final count for the class was eleven, I got right to work  getting

ready for the others, I had just enough time and supplies to be able to get set up for everyone. We had to pass a few  things around so everyone could get to use them but it all worked out just fine and all the ladies and Ray ( my only guy and by the way he does great work ) loved how the cards turned out.   I took a few photos before the class got started but forgot to take any while the class was going on, I'll do better next month.

Blessings,
Julie

Easton Senior Center Class

The first Tuesday of every month I go into the local Senior Center, and teach a class, I thought it would be nice to share what they will be doing this month.  I like to keep the projects rather simple, most of them have never stamped before.  This month they are learning my favorite technique " SPONGING ",  the sample cards below should be a lot of fun for them, very basic, just 2 colors but the cards pack a  WOW! when you see them.

Blessings,
Julie
